Flashback. What is going on? Well, Thema and Nowhorn are living in a cave just south of present day canada, 40 years from now, potentially further in the future. These two cave dwellers take a cab to a local Pueblo golf course, and after a lengthy selection process, whack Burt (the body) over the head as he golfs, his score being a remarkable -3. Then they explain their justification for it. Burt is alive and with Olivia. Olivia, representing order, questions Burt as to what happened. Bates arrives. He wants to know why Olivia is with Burt. Burt and Bates argue. Burt leaves. Bates and Olivia are left alone.
